Does anyone know about a coupon eligable converter box that works with comcast digital cable?

  1. There is no such thing. Cable, dish and sat do not need a converter as they are already digital compatible. Only those with an analog TV antenna need a converter. And then, the dirty little secret is that only about 1/3rd of the stations (the major networks such as ABC,CBS,NBC,CW and PBS) so called high power stations are going digital. The other 2/3rds, known as the low power stations, will still be xmitting analog signals and some of them have been xmitting both analog and digital simulcasts for a couple of years now. So, if one watches their local information or religious stations, they will need a converter that passes both analog and digital signals. The Chicago and metro NY areas (for example) have several such local information and news stations that will stay analog. Most of the countries local and regional school stations are in this category.
