  1. Well I am so not trying to be a smartass at all.........I'm in Cali & man you could do your own missionary work right in you back yard without leaving your area.....don't know how it is where ever your at but what about starting your own in your own area....doing your own cause.

  3. For the USA: VolunteerMatch (http://www.volunteermatch.org), Idealist (http://www.idealist.org), Change.org (http://www.change.org) and CraigsList (http://www.craigslist.com) all list volunteering opportunities with thousands of organizations. There's also this government sponsored site (http://volunteer.gov/gov/) which provides volunteer positions through USA federal land agencies like Fish & Wildlife, Forest Service, National Parks, etc. Also, contact your local volunteer center; you can find this via the Points of Light Foundation web site (http://www.pointsoflight.org/centers/).

If you want to be a volunteer to help with the consequences of a natural disaster, such as Hurricane Katrina, you need to register and prepare NOW. Here's a web site where you can register and start your preparation so that you can help the next time disaster strikes:

  4. Try Habitat for Humanity.  I don't think it's faith-based, but I could be wrong.

You could also volunteer at a public school, or at a homeless shelter.

  5. Perhaps you should visit http://www.volunteermatch.org .

You will find many volunteer positions in the USA and worldwide.

That's where I go to find volunteers for my organization.

  6. If you will consider Israel, I might be of help, purely volunteering with the old, kids and families in need.

  7. peace corps

  8. Try to surf for UN.Org

You will find lots of them as volunteer but you can also find the job that you want while doing volunteer works. Try it.

    GOD BLESS!
