  1. also try youthforunderstanding

  2. AFS and AYUSA are very good programs.

  3. AFS is would be the best program to go with assuming you're in high school. They have 60 years of experience in international exchanges and a great support system. The price isn't quite 8,450 it's 9,900 but definitely worth it, it includes everything except spending money. AFS has a variety of scholarships you can apply for and a fundraising help site.

    Good Luck!

  4. Might I suggest AFS, YFU or Rotary? Here are their websites:

    http://www.usa.afs.org/usa_en/home

    http://www.yfu-usa.org/

And Rotary doesn't have a specific website, you have to search it by district. For instance if you lived in Los Angeles you would search "Los Angeles California Rotary". Then email the exchange coordinator and if their email isn't listed email someone else and ask to be connected to the exchange coordinator.

Here is a forum that's really helpful: http://www.cultures-shocked.org/forum/?

If your looking for an inexpensive program, try Rotary. It only costs $3,900 where AFS costs $10,000+.
