Does anyone know about carpentry apprenticeships?

my son just finished his apprentership last week and yesterday his boss gave him the sack is this normal prosedure if so it stinks the boy is still learnig and will find it very difficult to find another imployer to take him on .Has anyone else experienced this if so what was the outcome .thanks for answering

Apprenticeships are a priveledge.

If your son did not meet the standard then he should be fired.
