Does anyone know about class action law suits . is it better as a group to fight lg. companies how long?

A few years ago, I  received an award for participating in a class action lawsuit against Firestone.  I received a check for $ 4.80.

The lawyers received almost  5 million dollars The suit took about 5 years to settle.

It is MUCH better to have a class action, because then you have multiple people all saying the same thing against a company, and companies are more likely to settle in that matter. Now when it's only ONE person saying something, it makes it that much more difficult to win.

Class action lawsuits are a scam to make lawyers rich for example. They represent a million people they sue for 3 Million then distribute 2 Bucks a person or 2 million keep a third 1 million for themselves. One lawyer a million you two bucks get it? It's old scam from the 80s suprised people are still doing it
