Does anyone know about downloading Mcafee virus suite from Comcast internet service for free?

Question

the desktop downstairs is able to sign into the account and download it, but on my laptop which works off of a router from the desktop is not able to sign in using the same screen name and password.

is there an explanation for this, is it possible to download on more than one computer working off of a router from the desktop?

why and how so?

Avast is a good anti-virus

But ive heard that mcafee is the biggest resource hog.

I only use spyware terminator with clamav integrated and windows sp2 firewall. With a bit of safe browsing :)

Hmm , McAfee ?  ok..

I would rather recommend avast home edition.. auto update and protection on all windows platforms be it 32bit or 64bit.

2 years with no problems at all.

The home version is free and all you have to do to get it registered is use your email addy, takes about one minute and last for 12+ months.

If you have got sense you wouldn't download Mc Afee from this source unless you want a hidden trojan! If you want a good anti virus for free try Avira from http://free-av.com  who will be happy to let you have their personal edition for free for life and is now one of the top rated anti virus programs going!

Who are Comcast? Never heard of them in the UK. Ask a UK related question in UK answers and I may be able to help.

never heard of them and i dont know what your setup is..

how did u get the program in the first place,,did u download it?,did u buy a cd and upgrade?

not enough info to make a solid answer,,,

so i will explain mine,

i bought a cd(pc world)and installed it on my two laptops and my desktop..12months later i upgraded on line using a single password etc to create "my account"and then dowloaded the updated program onto all three,no problem at all....my account shows a 3 pc entitlement,,,the router bit is a total red herring and has no connection with anything,

if you broaden the info i will check again later and possibly assist u further
