It depends on where, In the Negev, and the center of the country laid back,,( Tel Aviv has seen  not terrorist attacks since 2006, and its out of rocket range in all direction) around Haifa, and the southern north guardedly laid back, (in memory of the Second Lebanon War), in the far north and in the Gaza region horrendously dreary, and in the West Bank TOTALLY IDIOTIC!

    However military service and threats from Iran/Syria/Hezbollah keeps everyone at least somewhat united, and at the same time weary.

    I live in Israel and I love it.  I would never want to live anywhere else.  Though we have a conflict with Muslims, it is one of the happiest places I have ever known. There is a natural closeness and familiarity unlike any place.  The beaches are beautiful and the climate is great. There are so many beautiful places to visit.  

    Israel is technologically and scientifically very advanced.  The economy has improved a great deal, and continues to improve as more industry is developing in Israel.

    I believe that Israel is one of the great nations of the world and will prove to be one of the most important because of all her achievements.

  3. it's hot like heck, (self censorship), but other than that it's great, i love it here, and if you live from a neutral point of view (atheistic) you can learn great things about judaism.

The Israel Museum in Jerusalem houses the Dead Sea Scrolls along with an extensive collection of Jewish religious and folk art. The Museum of the Diaspora is located on the campus of Tel Aviv University. Israel has artist colonies in Safed, Jaffa, and Ein Hod, as well as three major repertory companies, the most famous being Habima Theater

    Israel has the highest school life expectancy in the Greater Middle East , It is ranked 22 out of 111 nations.[46] Israel also has the highest literacy rate in the Middle East according to the UN.Israel has eight universities and several dozen colleges.
