Do you have to have a cover letter for a resume?

ALWAYS use a cover letter when submitting an important document. If you do not think it important enough to do so, what will the recipient think of you? .

It is ALWAYS a good idea to include one.  it gives you the opportunity to say good things about yourself and your qualities that just don't fit well in a resume.    Hence, increases your chances of getting a callback, nless you have horrible grammar and spelling.

you dont have to but basically the cover letter is the thing that asks for an interview, if you already have an interview then dont worry about it. if not put a cover letter on it and address the cover letter to a specific person. maybe the manager or human resources person. if you get an interview and no for sure yes or no you're hired at the end of it send them a thank you note in the mail asap. thanking them for their time and that you will be waiting for their call on the day they said they would call by.
