Does anyone know about international cell phones?

I'm an american in italy...we are military...and i want a blackberry...but i want to be able to use it anycountry we move to...is this possible?

Yes.  When you purchase the blackberry, specify that you want it to be "tri-band" or "quad-band."   Different countries use one or more of four different frequency bands for cell phone transmission.  

Long story short, a "tri-band" phone or Blackberry will work in any country except Japan.  Quad-band will work in all.
