Yeh. But what is the problem. There seems to be no point of your question. So what a Mosque is being built in London. What next, "Does anyone know a bin is being put near London Eye?". Your petition is pointless, let people have their mosque like you have your chuches, or hhindus have thei temples or Jews have their Synagogues. The 100 million pound fuding is cpming form Saudi Arabia so you should not have any problem.

You people have no respect or observance of people's freedoms. What about the 265million pound Supr Casino wheres your petition on that.

I have never been to Newham never will

...but if they were building that Mosque I would want it sympathtic to the local area and enough space surrounding the building and not too close to peoples houses...so I hope they have got everything in order...

no not heard that, but it wouldnt bloody surprise me though. why dont they knock down buckingham palace and build it there? i'm sure liz and her bloodsucking family wouldnt mind moving to a smaller place!!!!!

That was a proposal that was binned on numerous grounds, but the primary one was the developers realising it was not a viable project.

It isn't going to happen.

I read about that in Time magazine and if I could sign your petition I would but i'm in the U.S.

Mid east money has already bought HARRODS and who knows what all else.  Are we pouring our culture into our fuel tanks?  

This reminds of what has been going on in Hawaii.

The place already looks like Tokyo East and joke there is,

"this time the Japanese are just going to buy the place"  

I've heard from locals there that the newspaper Real Estate ads for apartment rentals and the like often read "Japanese preferred"  A kind of under the table racism.  But racism non the less.
