I am aware that it mainly refers to Melbourne based clubs as other state based teams are generally well behaved.

  1. The problem with all football players who play at a high level in Australia is that they are paid too much money and have too much free time on their hands to get into trouble.

A friend of mine, who was a former first grade NRLplayer, once told me that all the Canberra Raiders would thrash my son on the Playstation - because that it was they do for most of the day.

The AFLhas tried to address the situation with a code of conduct and other measures. The Rugby League administration have said their players can't read so there is no point having any code.

  2. What you Telling me that the West Coast Eagles are well behaved, and the Fremantle Dockers, all 10 vic teams are better behaved then the 2 WA teams

  3. The AFL wrote up a Code of Conduct in an endeavour to have the Melbourne based clubs act in a better manner. Too many off-field incident (mainly by Collingwood) players were giving th AFL a bad name.

It sets out how footballers should behave off the field.

  4. It was a behavioural list drawn up by the AFL to try and bring some players into line while off duty.

Mainly Collingwood players, but some other Melbourne based players as well.
