  1. Back in the 80's it was JP8, now it is JP4 for safety ( higher flash point). But you can burn most anything that can burn, even gas.

  2. it uses standard military aviation fuel or JP4. used to use JP8. (JP4 was mostly for Navy then)

the F4WSO is right, JP4 has a lower flash point that JP8

They can also run on Jet A but definitely not gasoline for cars. Just not designed for the F-15s engines and the fuel injectors would suffer extra wear. And I think it also freezes at a higher temperature than JP4.

  3. Its called JP 10.

  4. The USAF hasn't use JP-4 for years.  JP-8 is what we use now.

  5. JP8, JP4 (not really around any more) and Jet-A.  Like any other USAF aircraft.

JP10 is just a newer fuel-not specific to the Eagle.

EDIT: you got it backwards dude, JP4 has a LOWER flashpoint than JP8.  And as long as I'm typing: Eagles haven't carried Sparrows for ages-they carry Slammers; have for over a decade.

  6. you mean the twin tailed, delta dinged fighter that was originally designed to kill the mig 25? has a top speed of mach 2.8, is armed with a 20mm cannon along with side winder and sparrow air to air missiles, and can be configured for air to ground attacks in the E model? the worlds premier air supremacy fighter that has never been shot down in air to air combat? the one that uses jp8 jet fuel? that fighter? never heard of it. (LMAO)
