Does anyone know about the process of getting marrying to someone from the UK, while i am in the U.S military?

I am in the U.S. Navy, and i want to marry a woman who has citizenship in the UK. Does anyone know the process in which i need to go through to get married to her, and get her citizenship in the U.S.

  2. Check with the Consular Office in the nearest US Embassy. Hard to answer any better, since I haven't a clue where the two of you are.

  3. It depends on the UK's laws when it pertains to getting married in that country. I got married overseas when I was in the military and didn't have any additional restrictions from the military.

    If you marry her overseas, you need to apply for a family immigrant visa at the US Embassy, you'll need to submit documents and attend an interview.

    To have her come to the US first and then marry her, you need to petition for a K-1 visa.

    Its a lot of paperwork, but its a pretty straight forward process
