I have read of ex-convicts that were in prison for years and became college professors, attorneys, counselors openly. But the articles never explain how they actually went about doing it. Does anyone know how they could done it or what is the starting point and procedures can take to becoming something of the sort? Thank you for any informative feedback.

  1. It all starts by going to school.

But nowadays you get the internet and you can study via the PC, at home.

Look into Internet marketing or even writing copy for websites or making websites or even programming.

  2. First I believe one might want to start by finding out how long does the crime commited stay on his/her record. Many times one goes back to the county clerk to ask about the process of getting ones record "cleaned" up. While of course preparing with a solid education in the field desired. Remember, everything looks better on paper.

  3. They do it because they have the drive to get themselves into college and earn their keep...just like everyone else.  Most of the people you have read about though, do it WHILE in prison.

    It all starts with education.

  4. theif, drug dealer, school bus driver :)

  5. You don't actually think that they have a special "secret", that they learn in jail do you?

They do it the same way everyone else does it, they go to school, they self-motivate, they apply themselves, they quit doing whatever they did that put them in jail, all common sense stuff.
