Does anyone know an official German/English translator...?

for visa stuff in Berlin? Possibly cheap, for translating documents into English...

Any good advices?

  1. I believe you can go to almost any language school, but most will be expensive.  Try Die Neue Schule.  I used to teach English for them and their prices are much better than a lot of other places.  Otherwise, just look in Die Zitty or Der Tip in the ads in the back.  I'm sure there are tons of freelancers doing it too.

  3. When we needed papers translated from English to German, we went to our towns Rathaus, and they had a list of translators.  Maybe Berlin would have a list as well.

    Also, post this on www.craigslist.com asking for a translator.

  4. I know one in Schwäbisch Gmünd who charges €1,60 per line which is about as cheap as it gets.

  5. You'll need a professional translating service with Staatlich geprüftem Übersetzer. Since these are important documents.
