Wildlife biologist.  Most zookeeper jobs do not pay well, but zoos in big cities do.  Really, if you love animals and love what you are doing, the money you will make should not be more important than your happiness.

Some people make good money by learning all about cattle reproduction and the insemination of quality lines of cattle.

Horses too I suppose. And you do not have to be a vet to do this.
