  1. There are only cruise ships, they take about a week to cross the Atlantic, and they cost much more than the plane.

    Non-cruise long-distance passenger ships were wiped out by cheap air travel.  

    Maybe they'll come back in the future if airfares keep rising, but for now, cruises and planes are your only options.
