  1. To apply. go to the cruise lines websites directly.  I know that Carnival and Royal Caribbean both have employment links on their pages.  You should never have to pay a fee to get a job.

  2. For Royal Caribbean, Holland America, Norwegian, Celebrity and one other i'm not sure they go through c-deck.com.  NCLA constantly have job fairs they are an entirely us based crew I use to work for them its ok, its a good way for Americans to start in the cruising industry to see if they like it because on international ships they don't have sympathy for you like NCLA will.  Carnival and Princess you just have to send in your resume and see if they call you, I havn't heard of any toher way to apply for them yet.  Good luck to you.

  3. I have never heard of paying to apply for a job. No cruise lines will do that.

If someone asks for money they are definately scamming you.

To get a job on a ship, you need to access your skills.

You will find jobs listed on places like

    monster.com

    careerbuilder.com

  4. Basically are cruise lines are hiring constantly.  Some cruise lines use hiring partners that do all of their hiring (especially shipboard hiring) for them.

I know Royal Caribbean uses a Hiring Partner for hiring their shipboard positions.  So you could apply directly to Royal Caribbean but it probably won't get you far.   So you have to figure out who the hiring partner is, and apply to them.

They do have an employment link on the website but it is more for the corporate offices and management positions aboard ship and some engine room positions I think.

Most entry level positions (which is what they hire for mostly and then promote from within) are not done via the website.

Not sure about Carnival and Princess.  I know there are links on the website, not sure if they would get you anywhere as far as a response goes.   Holland America seems to hire mostly from the Philippines and that region.

NCLA you can apply on the website, and they constantly have job fairs throughout the U.S. where they hire you on the spot.

Then there are some of the smaller ones, Regent, Windstar, Seabourn that you can apply directly online
