Does anyone know any french hotels/hostel that allow people to work there in exchange for a bed and food?

I want to brush up my french and i really would like to spend a few weeks in France in a hotel ot hostel working without pay but getting a room and food for it. does anyone know if this is possible anywhere? ive tried emailing a loads already.

i know it is in Amsterdam but i haven't herd of it in France before i think it should be though. call the hostels that will give you a straight answer.

I know students who do this but they are French and fluently multilingual and I would guess that competition for these places is fierce (remember unemployment in France is very high)

Have you considered getting a job as an au pair? (it would certainly require a longer commitment than just a few weeks (more like, at least, a few months) but it's a job for which  limited French would likely be sufficient.
