Does anyone know any good fancy rat breeders around the Chester-Le-Street, County Durham area.?

Hi, years ago i used to breed fancy rats. I loved my hobby and found rats the greatest pet i had ever had, but with family and work commitments i had to give up breeding and lost all my breeder contacts. Does anyone know of a good breeder around the County Durham area. As would rather purchase a rat from a established breeder than a pet shop. It would be fantastic to find a breeder of aggoutie rats

houghton-le-spring here and i would not mind the same info myself.

stopped keeping rats a few years ago as the only ones i seemed able to get were dying at a young age due to some nasty lumps and bumps growing on them....figured if i thought this way then others would and hopefully would force people to stop breeding them and leave it to the experts.

Indeed it is a small world! I'm in Sedgefield, C/Durham, and a friend of mine breeds dumbo rats. He has some ready to go at the minute if you're interested?

Breeding pet store rats is just irresponsible so I'm glad you're looking for healthy breeder stock instead.

eeh, i am from C/Durham, Seaham... small world small world.

not really apart from the chavs breeding and spawning at the minute.

i think you should go and ask in a pet shop as they get the rats from, or look in the yellow pages.

So sorry this is another 'small world' answer, but I'm from Crook in County Durham, not far away from you! Check the yellow pages for animal centres and they may be able to give you contacts?
