  1. I would encourage you to visit this site: www.healthsavings.ourperfectcard.com   I signed up online over 5 years ago now for all my dental needs and they have saved me thousands of $$$. I believe I paid around $30 for my cleaning and $12 for my periodical. They even had my very affordable plan active in 2 hours and was able to use it the same day. Good Luck and hope this helps.

  2. make use of the SE like google or yahoo to get some ideas first if you want to get the massive information, however if you do not want to spend so much time, here is a direct and good resource for your questions.http://health-insurance.onlinebestoffer....

  3. sounds like you dont have a clear understanding of insurance...

all insurances either have a deductible, copay or coinsurance. its not as easy as "we pay half of everything"

you should touch base with a local agent to ask more specific questions as to the plan you are looking for, no one here can help you.

  4. Try www.thehealthbenefits.net

  5. As one of your other answerers said, it’s not quite that simple.  Typically, your costs under a health insurance plan are split up between “copayments” (which you might pay for a checkup, for example), “deductibles” (which is what you’ll have to pay out of pocket –typically not including copayments- before your coverage kicks in), and “coinsurance” (which is the percentage of your charges –after your deductible- that you may be required to pay for covered services after your coverage kicks in).  Most health insurance plans use a combination of these fees, and none of these includes your regular monthly premium that you pay to be covered in the first place.

Does that sound discouraging?  Don’t be too discouraged.  The fact is that in most states there are a lot of individual and family health insurance plans you can choose from, some are even surprisingly affordable.  Even brand-name health insurance companies often offer plans that might essentially approximate the 50/50 model you have in mind, but which still provide a valuable layer of coverage in case of a serious injury or hospitalization.  It’s hard to make a specific recommendation for you, however, since health insurance rates can differ so much based on where you live, your age, and your medical history.

The thing to do is talk to a licensed agent who represents a broad range of insurance companies in your area and who can help you find the right plan to meet your personal needs and budget.  If you’re interested, you can also visit eHealthInsurance.com (where I work) to get free quotes, compare a broad selection of plans, and apply for coverage online.  We also have licensed agents you can talk to at 1-800-977-8860.

    Best of luck!
