  1. smoke a joint,

    you'll sleep like a baby.

  2. I don't suffer from insomnia but I have heard many people say that this product has worked to cure their sleep issues (along with many other things).  I currently use this product but haven't noticed any change in my sleep patterns which I guess is good news because I have always slept well.  This is not my site but the place I go to make my own purchases.  Good luck.

  3. valerian root. it will help you sleep.

edit: you cna buy it at any pharmacy OTC. it makes some people have very vivid dreams and sometimes lucid ones.

  4. L-Theanine 100 mg to 200 mg 45 - 60 minutes before bedtime.  L-theanine is an amino acid extracted from green tea.  It is very relaxing and is an excellent  natural remedy for insomnia and anxiety.  It produces relaxation without grogginess.

  5. MEDITATION AND YOGA regular for life time, instead of medicines for life time and getting habituated, and gradually going for stronger pills

  6. Chammomile tea is a relaxant...SleepyTime Tea, I think by Lipton's is a good tea to help you relax before bedtime. KavaKava is an herbal supplement that you can take, Valerian root (in pill or tea form, but it stinks like dirty sweat socks (!)...actually, the stinkier the better quality it is, so the pill form is a bit more popular), you could try melatonin supplements but thats usually only recommended for short amounts of time and under the supervision of an experienced homeopath. Some essential oils are great for promoting a sense of calm and relaxation...geranium, lemon balm (Melissa), lavender, jasmine, rose, marjoram, neroli...to name a few =). Good luck, I hope you find something that works for you!

  7. Reducing the stress in life is a big help. Taking a brisk walk for at least half an hour sometime during the day, but night immediately before bed can help to burn off some of the stress.

Prayer and meditation. I use my time driving in traffic to pray rather than stress about the delays, I just figure however long the drive takes is how much tome God thinks I need to spend talking with him/her. While it is ideal to meditate half an hour each day, my busy schedule allows for 10 minutes in the morning, if I can find additional time later in the day then I will meditate again but most days, once I wake up, I hit the snooze alarm and sit up in the bed and meditate until it goes off, 10 minutes, then I start the day.

Avoiding caffeine after about 3 in the afternoon, this includes not just coffee but also tea, chocolate and soda.

Drinking a glass of warm milk at bed time can help if you do not have any problems with indigestion. Not eating for 3 hours before bedtime is also a good idea.

Herbs that can help are valerian, chamomile, kava kava, peppermint. some of these can be taken aw a hot tea and some can be taken as capsules.

  8. Exercise has worked for me. When going through some family sickness and a divorce at the same time about 6 years ago, getting to sleep was difficult because my mind would not rest. In those times, I did get on the Nordic Track near bedtime or got out of bed within 20 minutes and got on it ... when doing it that late it was essentially doing it until really tired and then I would fall asleep right away.I think it reset my focus of attention more than anything and I would keep my thoughts there when I got off it.  Now I keep it in the day or evening hours and if I have stress that affects sleeping I take the herb Valerian and it helps.

  9. You need to try meditation and biofeedback techniques

  10. Microwave some milk until it is warm.  Drink it

  11. The best remedy I know for stress-related insomnia is vigorous exercise -- improves circulation, releases endorphins, eases stress, and gets you tired. Don't exercise immediately before trying to go to sleep, or in the middle of the night while you can't sleep, because it also increases energy levels temporarily, worsening the problem -- just go for a good long run or bike ride in the evening around dinner-time, see if that works.

  12. kava kava - herb

  13. Hyperland makes a good alternative herbal relax pill called

    Calms Forte

you can take it as a relaxant (nothing like a prescription type) or take it before bedtime.

    Good luck!
