  1. There are quite a few "ghost-type" movies out there... "GHOST" with Patrick Swazey and Demi Moore is a wonderful movie that combines mystery, love and the afterlife.  Another one is "THE SIXTH SENSE' with Bruce Willis which also combines mystery coupled with the need to continue his practice as a "shrink" and help a young boy who, in turn, helps Bruce's character to move on, so to speak.  The "AMYTIVILLE HORROR" and "POLTERGEIST" are, in my opinion, just good "spook" movies and who in the world can ever forget Linda Blair in the 'EXORCIST".  But my favorite movie, and will probably always be, is Christopher Reeves in "SOMEWHERE IN TIME".  It combines a passion to go back in time to meet a woman that he sees in a portrait and falls in love with.  It is such a romantic time travel that anyone that sees it can't help but enjoy it.  I hope you watch it and enjoy it as much as I do.  Janet

  2. Yea there's "Ghost" "Rose Red" and "The Exorism of Emily Rose"

  3. the grudge, stay alive, the fog, 13 ghost

  4. I'm a horror movie freak. My husband & I watched "Dead Silent" last night. A lot of people said it was scary and stuff but I didn't think it was that great.

The story was good and all but wasn't as scary as I expected.

Another good one is "The Others" if you haven't seen it yet. Also "Sixth Sense" is great! I'm obsessed with the "Amityville Horror" movie. The first one is the best and the remake I had a lot of problems with that one. It didn't stick to the real story.

  5. I LOVED "Somewhere in Time". I don't think it's a ghost movie..but maybe you could call it paranormal with the time travel. Wish I could think of some more for you . I ALWAYS watch them. (except the Sci Fi channel ones) Last night there was a cute show on...The Good Witch. It will rerun next Fri. on the Hallmark channel. Would make a good series (and I'm not even a witch!)At least she seems to mean well and do some good. Of   course, can you get any more paranormal than The Wizard of Oz!!!??Talk about "Dream Interpretation" and "Sleep Paralysis"!! lol I'll give you a star..so maybe others will  add to this list you already have. I'm interested in knowing too.

Edit..So why did I get thumbs down for that?????

  15. Portrait of Jennie is a 1948  film based on the novel by Robert Nathan. It's the story of an impoverished painter in New York City, who meets a  little girl in Central Park wearing old-fashioned clothing. He makes a lovely sketch of her from memory which involves him with an art dealer who is impressed with his work. This inspires him to paint a portrait of her - the "Portrait Of Jennie." He later falls in love with her, when she soon transforms into a mysterious young woman, as she has seemed to age a few years each time he meets her. It was directed by William Dieterle and produced by David O. Selznick. Great movie because of its odd story line.
