Does anyone know any ideas on how to make a homemade washer/dryer cover?

My washer and dryer are kept outside and im afraid of it getting wet and rusty. What kind of material should I make them with? and HOW?

Go to Lowe's or Home Depot and buy a large BBQ Grill cover which will probably cost around 10.00. Just be sure your appliances are not sitting directly on the ground and you will need to tie something around the cover to keep the wind from carrying the cover off in the neighbors yard.
