Call 411 for the numbers to Manny's Blue Room Robbins, Il or Gloria's in Harvey. They have Karoake on Sundays(Mannys) Gloria's(Thursdays).

The fountains of Minooka have Karaoke on a weekly basis.  As far as poetry, there are different events that take place at Bean Encounters in Minooka.  I don't know if you are in this area but both are options.
