Make musical shakers out of plastic cups and uncooked rice

Fingerpaint in shaving cream. When the music is fast, move your hands fast. When it's slow, move them slowly

Let each child decorate a paper music note with yarn, glitter, crayons, etc

Let each child make thier own drum out of a small coffee can and decorate it.

Let them decorate pretend microphones or trumpets made out of paper towel tubes

Show the children how to make a xylophone out of glasses filled with different ammounts of water. Let them experiment by adding or removing water from a glass and seeing what kind of sound it makes when tapped.
