I have a cold/flu and my throat is SO incredibly painful. It really hurts to swallow! I've tried painkillers, lemon and honey drinks, throat spray and lozenges, but nothing seems to make much difference. Any suggestions? Thanks a lot!!

  1. Gargle warm water with Listerine is good for sore throat, Also Potassium Permanganate ( KMnO4 ) or Hydrogen Peroxide solutions are great for your malady.

  2. Gargle with hydrogen peroxide it kills bacteria ,is great for swollen bleeding gums and can even be used in place of mouthwash.

If you don't have any then just gargle with warm salt water you don't need lemon just get a cup of water and make it as hot as you can tolerate it ant one table spoon of salt. Hope you feel better.

  3. Gargle for a couple of minutes a few times a day with a glass of water and a teaspoon of salt. Stir it well and gargle. Just don't swallow.

If sprays, lozenges etc aren't helping then its a good time to see your doctor for a throat swab.
