Does anyone know any not too expensive & clean small hotels in TAGAYTAY?

My boyfriend & I are planning a 4-day vacation in Tagaytay. I'm just wondering if any of you know not too expensive & clean small hotels in Tagaytay. We don't want to splurge on hotel accommodations. Better spend the money sight seeing, food & drinks, "pasalubong", etc.

Hotels in Tagaytay would range from 3000PHP up. Here are the price list I found via google.

In Tagaytay though, there are a lot of Bed and Breakfast places in the area. Those are easy to spot since its along the highway. I recommend this bed and breakfast place on top of Hawaiian BBQ (I forgot the name of the place...sorry). Its around 20 meters away from the round-about. It has good and neat rooms and the view of Taal is just superb. The food is very nice and quite cheap too. We paid aroung 2k PHP and its a spacious room.

And also like houses for rent for days. There are men on the highway offering guest houses. You can save more if you get those.

I keep a weekender house in tagaytay, and go around a lot in the process. My top recommendation for best value (big beautiful room, superb cuisine) is the one and only room that is the start of the bed & breakfast offering of an excellent, off-the road restaurant called Chateau Hestia. They charge  P2550 per night for 2 persons, INCLUSIVE OF BREAKFAST. The place is run by a young Austrian gentleman married to a Filipina. My favorite restaurant in Tagaytay! Now with a room for overnight guests.

TAGAYTAY!? i thought it only existed in legends!  TAGAYTAYAYA!

It is an ancient place where they built the first temple of TAGAYTAYGAYTA, long forgotten deity that set wheels which are still in motion today.
