  1. "If a company requires initial payment from you in order to work for them, they are not legitimate."

There are a few legitimate data entry companies but are not hiring and have large waiting lists (1-2yrs). The majority of data entry jobs you seen online are scams. A real company will want you to have skills inc fast typing, may want you to know MS Excel, and will usually ask that you have high speed internet. Once in a long while you may found one online on a job website but thats rare.

If you do an advanced search on yahoo, you will find previous answers, sometimes the info on these is good as the info they gave is likely to have been verified if the answer was voted as 'Best'.

  3. I'm not sure what you mean by "membership fee's" if your applying for a job, there wouldn't be any.  If your owning a business within a business then there would be start up costs, but I'm not aware of anything that require's a membership fee.  I'm figuring that's what you mean by your statement on without payout?  You mean you don't want to invest into a business right?  Well, I do know a couple different places where you can apply for a postion.  I can't guarantee that you will receive the job, but you can go and apply.  I don't know if you meet their qualifications, but you can go and see.

  4. There is a lot of competition for work from home jobs. I got started using online freelance sites, and ultimately built a business with clients that I found through them.

    http://www.gofreelance.com/ (Free - Good site)

http://www.elance.com/ (Biggest, but kind of expensive)

The first link is mainly programming, but there are other jobs there as well.

You may have more luck with the third website.

  5. The work from home jobs that aren't scams actually require work on your part - and if you're in need of money soon then you're likely to be sorely disappointed in any of those as well. Most of the legit opportunities out there take time to build - so if someone makes an outrageous claim of income it probably isn't true ( and those that are true sure didn't make that kind of money when they first began ).

Time & effort required - but do your own research on what is best for you, don't take the advice of myself and others as gospel from this type of public website.

I have other ideas that may help - one of them is an online opportunity but another is one that will require a little effort to market yourself - try some data entry for local businesses, many of them don't have the time to do it in-house and will gladly pay someone else to do it. Professionals are a good place to start, lawyers, doctors, chiropractors, etc - they need their "in-house" folks doing other things rather than busy work.

  6. Hi Dance!

If you are looking for a source that provides leads to work at home jobs you need to go to http://www.workathomedesk.com

They have a good list of legitimate companies that hire telecommuters in their directory too. There are several things you can do from home. Like at home customer care representative, transcription, writer, proofreader, editor, blogger, telemarketing from home, mystery shopping, virtual assistant, and freelance projects. You should never pay a fee to get a job! Legitimate companies will not ask for a fee for registration or materials. Good luck!

  7. There are plenty of work at home jobs at Virtual Job Connection that don't ask for fees.  You can find inbound phone jobs (order processing, answering service, technical support), outbound phone jobs (telemarketing, sales etc), typing, transcription and more!
