There are many work from home business that doesn't require money to get you started, but these system will make you work very hard to gain money at all.

You're going to have to put some money into it, I don't think there is anything around it. But you can work from home if you can put in the time and effort to manage your own home business. I believe your correct request is a work from home job, it saddens me that anyone believes you can get a "business" started without any investment. Yes there are many scams out there and because of that the internet biz world is shaky, but that'sis what "research" is for. I've been doing some work with www.elance.com the past week, all the work is home based, data entry, transcription etc. The only thing is you're competing against people from countries where the hourly rate of pay is a lot lower, so not sure if it would be worth it for you.

Also have a look at the jobs listed here, most are applicable to us,canada,europe, its quite good, thats where I found the above link.

Its been updated today to include some Craft type jobs which can be done from home, mainly re-distribution, but it possible to make good money from it if you work hard.

So many online jobs are out there. In fact, to do any online job, you need not want to invest anything. Make sure, you dont pay anything to get jobs online. You could setup a blog or website, this is completely free.  Once you have added some good content, you can start to earn money from advertising.  I know you wont make a huge income from this, but it would get you started working from home.  

Pick a topic which you are very interested in, and write a piece on that everyday.

I've given step by step instructions on how to create a website for free, and then add adverts to it so you can start generating income.

I know a lot of different people who have their own home based business.  However, business do cost money to start.  If someone says it doesn't, it's not your business.  If you want a business that costs minimal, say under $500 then your best bet would be to collaborate with a corporation in which you can have your own business within their business.  They will take care of all your accounts payable, accounts receivables, payroll, employees, Inventory, drop shipping, Billing, licensing etc etc.  Things that cost normal businesses thousands upon thousands of dollars to deal with.  but when you collaborate with a corporation (which is very simple to do) then they're responsible for all that.  If you go into business for yourself without collaborating, then the cost to start your own business sky rockets.  You have to do your own license, buy your equipment or materials, spend money on marketing advertisements (which gets costly etc)

Here's an article on home based businesses that I think you should read.  A lot of information and more indepth of what I was referencing to.  Also over half a dozen different industries that have incredible income opportunities to look into.  Non of them are scams, but there is start up costs like I mentioned prior.Businesses are not free!  You will have to put some type of investment into it.  If your not willing to invest time and money and build a successful business, but want to work from home, then you need to look into home based jobs, where the income is minimum wage.
