Does anyone know anything about Barbaro's brother Nicanor? Isn't he about ready to run?

Nicanor is a 2 year old.  He has done his training to learn to accept saddle and rider.  I'm not sure where he is now... I'm assuming he's with Michael Matz and he's learning to go out with a rider and trot and canter around the track.

While he is a 2 year old, colts tend to take longer to develop than fillies and a lot of colts won't make their first start until late in their 2 year old year.  Start looking for him in late summer... Probably in August or September.

I know he hasn't had any timed workouts yet, so he's not starting anytime soon.

Nicanor last run at Punchestown in april 2006 won his race not ran since I think trained by Noel Mead

Daily Racing form site has a spot where you can get notices on workouts.  I have Nicanor in my file so I will be notified of his workouts and races. .

It is going to be fun to keep up with him.

Have they named his little brother?
