Does anyone know anything about Clapps Convalescent Nh in Asheboro, NC?

My Dad just had a partial hip replacement and is being sent to Clapps Convalescent Nh for his rehabilitaion for a couple of weeks in Asheboro, NC. I really would like to find out if there have been any complaints about this place. I do not know anyone personnally who has stayed there to ask their opinion. Any suggestions?

They are a member of the Asheboro/Randolph Chamber of Commerce and do not have any complaints filed with the Better Business Bureau.  He will be fine.  My prayers are with him for a full recovery!

Clapps in my opinion is the best in Asheboro.  My godmother was there for a while after falling and breaking her shoulder.  they helped her build up her strength so that she could go back home.  She and her husband didn't want or have the money to pay for 24hr home care that would have been required until she got well enough to be home alone.  I know of one other Nh in Asheboro and I wouldn't leave my dog there (even though they are Certified).  Your Dad is in the best place I know of.  They have a beautiful place and everyone I met was Friendly and very helpful in putting my fears to rest.  If I had a question they answered it or found the answer for me.  My prayers are with you and your Dad in this trying time.

You can begin by going to the Medicare site that gives data on every [Medicaid & Medicare certified] nursing home in the country.

Also remember that you always have the right to ask to see the home's latest certification report which would list violations, etc..
