Does anyone know anything about Fila mountain bikes??

Question

Looking to purchase a Fila mountain bike, but cant find much info on the web about them? Does anybody know the quality of the bikes or the price??? Since I cant find any info, I am wondering if its another brand of bike that had a promotion or something and just put the Fila logo on the bike. Any info you have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

unfortunately from what i could find on the subject, they are a promo type bike, like the Columbia brand MTB and the Smith and Wesson Police Bikes. These bike are made or contracted by a Chinese Bicycle conglomerate.. That means that 4 or 5 different Chinese bike companies get the specs and they all try to produce them to the same standard.

With our S&W Police Bikes i have learned that some come from the factory in great shape and others come with less than standard components.

The Fila name was licensed to US company to build bikes under their brand. The bikes are built in China for the mass market. They are NOT mountain bikes, are intended for occasional on road use only.
