I've heard of H2O being used, the hydrogen is used to fuel the car and the oxygen is released back into the atmosphere. Can anyone help me with info on this?

  1. I don't know too much about this...but I know that Honda has come out with a car running on this.

  2. yes hydrogen is a combustable substance

  3. It is just the start in EU & Japan with the prototype to test.  Is working but nothing for sale yet.  It will take another few years for full production to supply the world.  After the start of H2O cars, there will still be other problems for us to discover, no end to this cycle and that is why the Earth is round..........and round.

  4. Well mine burns vegetable oils, and waste motor, and transmission oils.

  5. I tried to do this...I bought the plans online for $50 and looked it over.(runyourcaronwater.com) After about ten minutes I emailed them back and asked for a refund. The plans were way to complicated for a average guy to follow....

there was a lot of requirements for manufactured or homemade parts that I couldn't begin to try to make.

Looked like it could work if you were a rocket scientist with a machine shop.

    Wish it would work...

  6. We could definitely use Hydrogen, but splitting water is pretty expensive. It is much cheaper to get it from natural gas, oil, decomposing biomass, or other sources.

If you don't believe that water can be split, hook a nine volt battery to some paper clips and stick them in a cup of salt water. The bubbles are Hydrogen and oxygen.

  7. the water for gas gig actually decreased fuel economy in the few cars it has been tested on in the u.s.- hydrogen, however would be an ideal replacement for diesel (in big trucks) as it has practically the same btu's and burns even cooler, which would reduce oil consumption, and extend engine life.

methane from landfills is also a possible future source of power, perhaps not for vehicles, but homes (johnson and johnson an evil american corporation powers a few of its plants off this source over here already)

solar would be good for home power there. and even better once voltaic cells are produced en masse, cheaply.

by the way, i'm an evil conservative libertarian "unconcerned" with drowning polar bears and starving lion seals...
