i have heard of this a long time ago, it is a powder form and added with sugar dont know how much think a teaspoon each and water, not sure if wrong measures it can do harm. but if used right will cure a horse of any worms and work with any wormer in the future so ur horse will never be infested with any type of worm. there is a bad sad if not used by the right person that knows all about it as it can make a horse ill if given too much. just wondering did anyone else here about this. i just use the normal ones out of the vets but would like to hear more and read up on this, as if used right is good for the horse. i would never give it to mine unless it was correct by a vet but just would like to know more. thanks

  1. Bluestone is used for killing algae in dugouts.  I would not think it should be fed to horses.  You can get organic wormer that does not hurt a horses insides.

  2. ive herd if it but i dont know any thing about it

  3. Don't you think the drug companies would be marketing it so they could make the profits if this stuff could be proven both effective and safe to use?  If nobody is controlling dosages and monitoring every single horse that receives it, which is standard protocol and takes sometimes years before a drug is approved, it is not proven to be safe to give to your horse.

  4. IF I am thinking of the same stuff "I have heard of Blue stone in the past too" but I was told that it can actually be toxic to your animals - including horses.

I have heard of blue stone being used in ponds, dug outs etc to keep alga and other micro organizms out.
