Does anyone know anything about free to air tv?

because i was told just to buy the boxes and connect it to a dish and you have satelitte tv but how do i it where do i get the boxes and how much are they

    There is Free-Two-Air satellite TV but not very many people use  it. There is a lot of programing on it but it's mostly religious, PBS, and foreign language type stuff.

    If you follow  the links below you will find more than you probably want to know about FTA.

    In the UK they have a much better FTA system. Too bad Uncle Sam hasn't followed their example.

    If you have a dish, your service provider is required to do the digital switch-over for you.

    If you are talking about plain-old Rabbit ears Television,,,,,,,Buy a new TV that has a Digital tuner.

    You can buy the decoder box for about 50 beans U.S.

    And if you live in the U.S. the government will kick in a coupon for 40 of it, so it will only cost you 10 Greenbacks.
