Does anyone know anything about fuses in electonics?

I want to know if AC fuses (120V) offer any protection (in a pinch) for DC fuses.. say 5amp Pico fuse that's blown in a tv? Any advice would be appreciated :)

Fuses blow based on the amperage applied, There are slow blow fuses that will change that behavior dramatically based on wether DC AC or three phase. unwise.  General note, there are no good substitutions for anything in electronics at the board level.

Ohms law says a 5 volt circuit will require a 5 volt fuse.  You stick one rated to 120 volts in there you have just burned down your house.
