Does anyone know anything about hypnotherapy?

Can be very effective for some things.  Can be expensive, shop arround.

I had hypnotherapy when I was pregnant in order to have a good birth, I was really scared as it was my first pregnancy and the hypnotherapy helped to get rid of those fears and to keep me relaxed.

It can be costly but I found it worked - better than expected. I ended up having a 4 hr labour, and gave birth in water with only gas and air - All as I had visioned with my hypnotherapist.

I think the more you are open and believe in it, the better it works. If you are cycnical and go into it with doubts it will not be so effective.

I recommend hypnotherapy to anyone who believes in the power of the mind.

It is ineffective, scoring little better than placebo. It can also be expensive, it just depends how much the gullible are prepared to stump up!

if your checking for your self then check out a few places

that are as near as possible. there's no point going to a hypnotherapist if your in a bad mood complaining about traffic.

that defeats the purpose. if its for a specific reason, then check out clinics that focus mainly on that subject. But above all,

if you do end up going to see one, GO IN COMPOSED!!! try and be as calm as possible,and everything will go well. good luck ;- )

Oh interesting, I've been wondering the same thing myself.  My doctor actually practises it outside of his office hours and he's very sceptical about alternative medecines so I'd say it must have some use.  I'd say it depends on the reason you're getting hypnotherapy ... I'm not sure about cost either.
