  1. The most helpful thing I can think of is to remind your child that all his/her classmates are also going on to middle school.  It isn't as if your child won't have friends to help get aclimated to the new scene.

Point out, too, that he/she is growing up, and this is a step toward the high school years. It is quite an adventure.

  2. every middle school is different depending on where you live and your school district. im my experience, 6th grade is really easy. the teachers are lax because its your first year in middle school. 7th is tricky. the teachers become more strict and they rely on the student more to turn in their work on time and make it to class on schedule. 7th was the hardest year for me so far (im going into 9th grade). 8th grade was really easy. after 7th grade, the teachers trust you to come to class on time and turn in your work. but they remain strict so they are not totally lax and flexible. your child would do fine. middle school is not much different. the work load is a little more, material tougher, but other than that, easy.

  3. Yes.... Middle School is h**l on Earth.  If you care at all about your child, homeschool them.  If you insist on exposing your child to the worst that our world has to offer (public school), you better tell them to be the prettiest, the thinist, the most athletic, and be popular at any and all costs.  Oh yah, you may want to invest in a chastity belt too -- unless, that is, you want them to have the "full" Middle School experience.

  4. well i understand you but i kinda forget

  5. I'm in the 7th grade  and I know that you may think I don't know that much, but I'm in middle school and I know what it's like. I think that you should just prepare your child for the big changes. I think that it would also be a good idea to tell her that there will be some obsticles along the way. There will be changing classes and finding rooms. I just believe that you should try to prepare for a lot of hard work and talk to him/her about peer pressure. If this middle school has lockers that have a combination, you might want to consider getting them a combination lock. It could also double as a lock for a gym locker in the locker room.

  6. hhaaha.boyy do i have stories.

    alright.. tell he/she.

not to get involved in drama. or "c**p-talking"

    because it overwhelmes middle school.unfortunately.

    tell he/she

that its a cruel world and middle school is the start of it..

and make sure they knoww don't bother the older kids.

unless you want a squished child of course

  7. The lessons are serious and the homework is hard and you had better keep your child on a good routine of studying and sleeping.  Feed him breakfast for goodness sake!!! Make sure he knows he is loved.  This is the age bad things start happening to kids unless they have a good support system. Oh, don't force him to take classes he does not want to that are elective. Good luck!
