make sure its OFF the floor when u tow it, it should s***w right up.

I take it that you refer to the type with a central locking nut.  In my experience if you notice van swaying behind then you have to tighten centre nut a bit more.

There is an adjustment nut or lever in the centre of the friction discs. Without the caravan on - obviously - tighten the nut until you can JUST pull the lever sideways. And I mean JUST!

If the lever can be set for different levels set it so you can JUST lift it onto the pad on the caravan on a level road.

I found that was OK on my van.
