  1. yes

  2. might be worth Forrest Gump for ideas.

  3. Yes, I know a bit about shrimping. I was a shrimper a few years ago and I did it for a number of years. You can be hired immediately but without experience the captain will be hesitant, I knew of a lot of green horns, that were hired as partial help, they did not earn a full wage until they learned the ropes. Most shrimp boats have television. Some boats dock daily, the last 3 years I did it I worked with a captain who docked every day, he liked to golf on Wed. and Sunday, so we were in on those days unless we were catching alot of shrimp. If you are interested I could tell you much more about shrimping, it is a part of my life I will never forget and think about often, as a matter of fact I would like to find a small shrimp boat that I could afford so my children can experience it. There is definately something about working on the ocean, it may not be for everyone, but I think if you give it a chance, you will like it.

  4. If you're worried about television then it's probably not the job for you.

  5. No I don't I'm afraid but I have a lot of good shrimp recipes

  6. Bubba and Forest can help you.

  7. Any commercial fishing work is very dangerous physically.

Legend also has it that many Shrimp boat/fishing boat hirees are ex-cons, or living under a false identity. (Just what I read, somewhere).

If you're out of prison and can't find work any where else, go for it.
