A check for $2,975.00 is mailed along with a letter and asks u to call before cashing the check to verify that the check and the letter was received. The check is supposed to cover the insurance on the sweepstakes prize. The check was drawn on Wells Fargo Bank and was cashed by the recipient. So, the insurance for the prize was paid, but to no avail...no prize money has been awarded.

  1. Yeah, same incident here, only the check was drawn on Silicon Valley bank.

  2. let me guess you won second prize in an international sweepstakes in the amount of 200,000 dollars right? I got that letter and check in the mail about a week ago and followed the instructions to the tee and I can say yes it is a scam thanks to those dead beats who devote their time preying on people who work hard for their living I am in legal problems with my personal bank the only difference in my case is that the check was drawn on some bank in Texas that do not  even exist.
