For one thing it will not jump up and happen.You must be prepared to work at it,hard work,people who say they place a few ads and away they go are having you on.

There are many ways to make money on the internet. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable in doing it. You may need some trial and error to find the one that you like. Patience and commitment are extremely important. It is almost impossible to make money overnight or get hundreds dollars in a short period of time.
