Does anyone know good guard dogs?

Yep definatly a german shephard. They are so loyal and are very good guard dogs. They are very intelligent dogs that are easy to train.

I'm not sure what you'd consider "medium sized".  I have a Rhodesian Ridgeback and he's an excellent guard dog. He weighs about 90 pounds. I've had several Ridgebacks and they have all been good guard dogs, family companions. But, they have all had a tendency to run away if they got out of the yard. They'd all come home, but the temptation of chasing small critters got the best of them.

i have 2 german shepherds, they are in my opinion the best guard dog's. hope this helps.
