  1. It actually depends on the aircraft model......some aircraft models can have its autopilot enabled by a single button push...while some would require a series of actions...may be button push preceded by a forward throttle push or whatever....if it is a game ..a video game...you are referring to try to look for the cheat by typing your game's title plus the word "cheats" in your yahoo search engine.

  2. I could tell you if it actually worked like the real ones. They didnt even get the G1000 right, and I cant figure out how to engage flight plans on most of the aircraft's FMS. They did a horrendous job, more than 3/4th of the features are wrong or nonexistent for all the avionics Ive actually used.

The only way you are going to get it to work correctly is to go get a 3rd party mod that corrects them, the only one I could find was $99, but seeing that its less than an hour in a 172, It would be worth it for someone who actually has a 172 or Mooney.

  3. some yes but the default planes no, u can adjust it to line up with the runway and when ur 300 ft out take it off and land mnually but in fsx or fs2004, no u must adjust the speed, altitude,flaps,etc... manually

  4. None of the default aircraft supplied with Flight Simulator will perform an autoland.  However, you can buy add-on aircraft that are much more accurate simulations of the real thing, and if the aircraft they simulate are equipped for autoland, the add-on will be able to do it, too.  For example, if you buy a good 747-400 add-on (not the default 747 supplied with FSX), it works just like the real thing, and so you can configure it to autoland.  Examples of commercial add-on makers that provide ultrarealistic add-ons for transport aircraft with autoland include PMDG, Level-D, Wilco, Eaglesoft, and numerous others.

Keep in mind that only aircraft that can autoland in real life will have autoland capability in an add-on.  A Cessna single-engine prop cannot autoland in real life, so neither can any of the simulated Cessnas of this type.  A 737-800 can autoland, and so good add-on 737-800s for the simulation can also autoland.

If you aren't equipped for autoland, the best you can do is set the autopilot to capture and follow an ILS localizer and glide slope.  That will take you down to the runway, but you must still disengage the autopilot and fly the touchdown yourself.

  5. First, program in an IFR flight plan from airport X to airport Y.  Before or during take off, activate the flight plan and fly it using GPS navigation.  Once you near your destination, ATC will give you vectors to your approach.  Go to the maps and get the ILS frequency and runway heading, and set up the approach on NAV 1. Don't forget to reset your autopilot back to NAV from GPS.  Follow ATC vectors and altitudes until you are cleared for the approach.  At that time, hit the autopilot button for the approach, and it should automatically take you to decision height. Control your flaps and airspeed.  You'll have to land manually from there, but usually all you will have to do is cut the autopilot and power, and flare for landing.  This should work well for any airplane in the system that has a fully functional autopilot, but I haven't figured out the G1000 panel yet
