  1. you need to get yourself an agent  before you csan really do anything...

  2. Sadly, becoming a famous singer is a very, very unlikely ambition, you just need to get a lucky break and hope you'll take off. And it always the most vocally talented what make it, look at Britney Spears.

By all means, have a go, there's nothing to loose. Make sure you have something to fall back on, a job, and realize it isn't the be all and end all to being happy. If you tell yourself you need to be famous to be fulfilled, you'll feel that need. But if you think about what you really want (to be happy), you don't need the fame - that comes from health, family, friends and fun times alone. Famous people who don't have that don't feel secure, so don't be fooled into thinking fame is connected to having a good life. It has nothing to do with it.

Anyway, give it a shot; =o]

    1) You'd probably have the best chance by auditioning for a reality talent show, like American Idol or The X factor in Britain (check out their websites for details on entering). Enter everything you can.

    2) Or apply to enter in any reality show - if you get through, after the show it'll be much easier to look for a record deal.

    3) Post videos on You Tube and My Space. Attach links to them on YA, lmao. Spread the word by asking your friends to watch your clips. Ask them to tell people their friends/family to watch your vids, and recommend it to other people they know. Hopefully you'll get loads of people watching you.

    4) Research record labels, maybe ask if anyone knows about the buisness on YA and if they can provide links to companies? Surf the net for a music company where you can send off demo recordings. Don't give up if nobody gets back to you - keep on trying. Send demos to as many different record labels as you can.

    5) Find out about local gigs in your area, where you could play. (Look on the internet, or ask your music teacher at school.) Make sure you give it your best shot all the time - you don't know who's in the audience, maybe a small time music producer? Talk with other budding muscians - ask if they know about any events, or if they have any advice. Keep playing at gigs as regularly as you can.

    6) Keep practising, hopefully improving. Go to a singing coach if you can. Try improving your guitar skills.

    7) If you do something badly or have a knock back, realise what you did wrong and work on it. Keep doing this as many times as you need to. Try again, play at the next gig differently/better, send a new demo recording, post fresh videos....

Good luck, but don't be fixed on being famous =o]

  3. American Idol would be the easiest way.
