  1. try clr you can get that at the hardware store ... oven cleaner is very strong that might work or make a paste with baking soda or oxyclean

  2. "Fantastic" removes nicotine from color safe surface. (also a product called "Krud Kutter" is a super strength cleaning solvent.)

  3. bucket warm water

    1/2 cup washing soda

Wash surface, wearing gloves; then rinse.

For really tough jobs, make a thick washing soda paste by mixing it with water, and then spread the paste on the soot. Keep the paste damp by spraying every hour or so with a spray bottle. Leave the paste on overnight, and then rinse. Make certain to only use this formula on inert surfaces such as glass and stone, as this amount of washing soda can peel off paint, wax, etc.

there are sponges you can use that are for soot cleaning it will take it off , some fire restoration comp in your area would have some or Home depot, Lowe's

  4. OXI_CLEAN !!!! You can buy a little bucket at any grocery store and is only around $5.00.Put about a cup in your pail and add detergent and put hot water in and swish around and use a sponge and put some on your sponge to double whamme it.It will amaze you.Good Luck!!!

  5. I find that water and soft-scrub with bleach works wonders on textured surfaces.  Put the cleaner directly on the surface and use a wet sponge (warm to hot water) to work it on to the surface.
