Does anyone know how Palin and her husband are tied in with the oil companies in Alaska?

I'm curious as to why McCain chose Palin. After reading an article this morning about Palin's plan to help fund a multi billion dollar pipeline project, and a reference she made at the RNC about her husband having some kind of business to do with oil makes me think that this is why McCain chose her. This is more for business then politics. Just like our current administration now manipulating the White House for their own capital gain. John is a business man and Sarah it's too soon to really know that much about her. Does anyone have any links or knowledge of Sarah's direct ties to oil companies? What does her husband's business with oil? With Palin being Gov of Alaska how much influence does she legally have with the oil pipe lines? If she makes it to the White House what authority would she still have in Alaska?

  1. He worked for BP (British Petroleum) in a low level job.  That's it.  No big personal payoff.

The payoff for Palin is that it helps Alaska (and every person who lives there) financially.  That's it.

  2. She probably doesn't keep enough air in her tires too.

  3. She's the Governor not an oil barroness.  Nice rant though

  4. I didnt know that! Thank you for the info, people deserve to know the truth!!!!

  5. Governor Palin's husband is a former field production worker (in other words a blue collar job, not a CEO) for BP.

If she is elected to the Vice-Presidency, she will have nothing to do with the pipeline; that responsibility will be handed to the new governor.

  6. Fear is a terrible thing to waste so go ahead with yours.

  7. Oil cost $4 a gallon, drill here, drill now.  Palin's ties to the oil companies is that she will reduce gas prices.

Obama's plan to increase windfall profits taxes on the oil companies and then use that money for reparations will cause gas to triple in price.

  8. Just to clarify for you, this is how it works.  If you live in Michigan, odds are very good that you work for the automobile industry in some capacity.  If you live here in Alaska, odds are you work for the oil industry.  That's if you want to make more than minimum wage.  They are by far the States largest employers.  Her husband is not an oil executive.  There is no conspiracy.
