  1. I would be interested in knowing that. I shall keep popping back to look at this. Good question , thank you.

  2. When they do a dna test they only analyse certain sites (which show high degrees of variability amoungst the population) in the genome and make comparisons between the donors. Don't know why smoking or caffeine aren't allowed but the swab is taken from the inside of the mouth and eating will clean the epithelial cells away giving less material for analysis and also some animals like pigs share some of the alleles with humans and so contamination of the sample will result and a second test would be required.

  3. it works well their is a whole bunch of ways like taking blood and pulse and somtimes your puiples get bigger and you might do certin things like sweat cough be nourves and spit alot  and whole bunch of other things

  4. A sample of DNA is compared against another sample. To explain how this works is a bit complicated as essentially you break down he DNA (a big string of proteins) and essentially create an image of them and then develop it.... MAKE Magazine Did a brilliant article on how to do your own cheapishly.

As to the other point I do not know sorry I am guessing that since the DNA is taken from a swab of the mouth it may contaminate the sample.

    I hope this Helps

  5. the smoking, drinking, eating thing is due to them taking samples of cells from inside the mouth and they do not want them contaminated.

All they do is check about 30 dna markers and compare the mother/father/child to make sure the numbers match up properly.
