Does anyone know how far the earthquake in china is from where the olympics are to take place?

Hi Huck, The Chinese Olympics are still in the process of being held in Beijing despite the proximity of the devastation in Central China. (900 miles or so away)

A) the Olympic torch runners travel various parts some closer, others more distant to the epicenter.

B) Many Chinese citizens prognosticated the pre-Olympics earthquake by the behavior of their animals, Thousands of gallons of internal water emerging from lakes, multitude of frogs coming out into the streets... etc. People even went to government stations to file a complaint and forsaw tragedy.

C) "The direct location of the effected areas, including Tibet where multitudes unfortunately perished is hundreds of miles from the Olympics China-Lenin, Communist stadiums", was commented yesterday by Mr. Kim Lee of L.A.

D) Hundreds of affected people are claiming the earhquake was linked to the 5 Olympics mascots cursing them... (Jinjing, Huanhuan, Yingying, Nini and Beibei)  so they would rather the International Games be held over the sea and farthest away possible.
